Pause Protection

Switch Ghostery off for one site, not the rest

What it does

You're trying to check out on a shopping site, but the payment button won't load. Pause Ghostery for 1 hour just for that domain, finish your purchase, and we'll automatically turn your shields back on.

Pause one domain on a timer. Everything else stays shielded.
Pause protection for a site from the panel or settings.

How it works

Pausing stops all blocking on the current site. Other sites stay fully protected. Timed pauses turn protection back on automatically.

What you get

  • Quickly fix a site that breaks with protection on
  • Pause for an hour, a day, or until you re-enable
  • Affects one domain only
  • Trigger from the panel or website settings

Turn it on

Find it under: Website Settings → add a site, then choose a pause duration.
